Ezt a fotót még az elkészítése előtt fél évvel terveztem meg. A környékünkön álló erdőt bejárva kiszemeltem egy olyan területet, ahol a fák nem olyan sűrűn helyezkednek el, mint másutt. Itt építettem azt a lest, ahonnan ezt a fotót készítettem. Négy hónap előkészület után próbálhattam ki először a madárfotózást távkioldóval. A gépemet a lestől egy-két méterre a földre tettem le, az optikát egy fadarabbal emeltem meg, én pedig az exponálózsinór végén a lesben vártam a madarakat. Mindössze egyszer szállt madár a gépem elé, és akkor is csak pár másodpercig mutatkozott. Ekkor született az első, távkioldóval készített madárfotóm.

I planned this picture half a year before I took it. Hiking around the forest in our neighborhood, I chose a spot where the trees are not as thickly settled as elsewhere. This is where I built the hide from where I took this photograph. It was after four months’ preparation that I first tried photographing with a remote device. I placed the camera on the ground one to two meters from the hide, raised the lens with a piece of wood and waited inside the hide at the end of the shutter release cable for the birds. Altogether a bird landed only once in front of my camera and even then stayed only a few seconds. This is when my first bird photograph with a remote was born.
