Az andalúziai vadon mélyén, a Life+Iberlince-projekt megfigyelőhelyén keresi fajtársa nyomait egy ibériai hiúz (Lynx pardinus). A nemrég még súlyosan veszélyeztetett státuszú fajt sikerült megmenteni a kipusztulástól (a 2000-es évekre mindössze 100 példány maradt). Kizárólag az ibériai-félsziget déli erdeiben él. A legkisebb testű hiúzfaj, természetes körülmények között leginkább üregi nyulakkal táplálkozik. A Life project védelmének köszönhetően egyedszámuk lassan, de emelkedést mutat, így mostanra az ICUN Vörös listáján már "csak" veszélyeztetett kategóriába tartozik. A kép vadon élő egyedet ábrázol, a fotó az állat természetes élőhelyén készült, ahol a negyedik napon végre szerencsém volt, és elsétált a lessátram előtt. A képet a közelebbi kivágás kedvéért aps-c crop-módban készítettem.

In the depths of Andalusia’s wilderness, at the observation station of the Life+Iberlince project, an Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) is looking for traces of its kind. The not long ago critically endangered species (by the 2000’s merely 100 remained) was successfully saved from extinction. They live exclusively in the southern forests of the Iberian peninsula. The smallest bodied lynx species prefers to eat coney rabbit under natural circumstances. Thanks to their protection under the Life Project their numbers show a slow increase so that as of now they are listed in the ICUN’s red category as ”only” endangered. The picture shows an example living in the wild. The photograph was taken in the animal’s natural habitat where on the fourth day I got lucky, it walked in front of my hide tent. In the interest of tighter cropping I made the picture in aps-c crop mode.
