Felreppenő seregélyfelhő az őszi vonulás időszakában Ausztria legnagyobb szélerőmű parkjában, Burgenlandban. Tizenkét éve járok e vidékre őszi seregélyvonulást figyelni, de ekkora tömeggel még soha nem találkoztam. Először egy furcsa, nyüzsgéshez hasonló zajt hallottam, és ahogy a hang fele indultam, bekövetkezett az a csoda amire nem számítottam. A talaj megmozdult, és mint egy végeláthatatlan sötét szőnyeg, a földről több tízezer seregély kezdett lassan felszállni. Hihetetlen látványnak lehettem szemtanúja.

A cloud of starlings taking to wings during their autumn migration, in Burgenland, at the largest wind farm in Austria. I have been visiting the place for twelve years to observe their migration, but never before have I seen such a huge crowd of starlings. First I noticed strange, buzzing like sound. Turning towards the sound, the unexpected miracle happened. The soil moved and like an endless dark carpet, tens of thousands of starlings started to ascend slowly. I witnessed a sight beyond imagination.
