Több mint két évtizede örökítem meg a rétisasokat (Haliaeetus albicilla) Belső-Somogy halastavain. Idén először a Hortobágyra is elvetődtem, hogy a fajtársakat vagy éppen az arra kószáló egyedeket lencsevégre kapjam. Ekkor került az objektívem elé – igaz csak egy pillanatra – egy fiatal hím egyed a karmai között valamivel, ami nem a szokványos eleségének tűnt. A rutintalan egyedek zsákmányolása közben lehet megfigyelni, hogy kevésbé kiforrott a technikájuk mint szüleiké. Emiatt eleinte sokkal gyakrabban tévesztenek vagy éppen esnek bele a vízbe. Valószínű hogy ez vezetett ahhoz, hogy ezt az alumínium flakont vitte magával a levegő kezdő ura.

For more than two decades, I have been photographing eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla) in the ponds of Inner-Somogy. This year, I went to the Hortobágy for the first time to photograph fellow species or even the wandering ones. Then, I saw a young male with what looked like an unusual meal in his claws, albeit only for a moment. While preying on these routine individuals, one can observe that their technique is less mature than that of their parents. As a result, they are initially more likely to stray or fall into the water. This likely led to this aluminum flask being carried by the novice lord of the air.
