A felvétel egy frissen befagyott halastavon készült. A már jégen álló egerészölyv (Buteo buteo) pánikszerűen próbált elmenekülni egyik, a nádfal takarásából hirtelen megjelenő fajtársa elől. Az ijedtség, a friss és különösen csúszós jég eredményezte a furcsa megcsúszást. A következő kocka már a szárnyaival a jégen szétterült madarat mutatta.

The picture was taken on a freshly frozen fish lake. A mouse hawk (Buteo buteo), already on the ice, was in a panic, trying to escape from one of its kind, which had suddenly appeared from behind the reed wall. The fright, on fresh and particularly slippery ice, resulted in the strange slip. The next frame showed the bird spread-eagled on the ice.
