Az Indonéziai Észak-Sulawesi híres, közkedvelt merülőhelyei találhatóak a Lembeh szorosban. Különlegessége, hogy ritka, furcsa víz alatti élőlények rejtőznek a fekete vulkanikus puha homokban. The famous, popular dive sites of North Sulawesi, Indonesia, are in the Lembeh Strait. A unique feature is the rare, strange underwater creatures hiding in the black volcanic soft sand. A relatively tricky predator to find in hiding is the stargazer fish (Astroscopus guttatus), with only its head, a few centimeters in size, sticking out, waiting to pounce on the small fish swimming about 10 centimeters above it with a sudden movement and the suction force created by the sudden, powerful opening of its mouth.
