Egy fokozottan védett, endemikus ibériai hiúz (Lynx pardinus) szemlélődik egy kaparófának használt fatörzsön a vadonban. 500 körüli példányszámával az állat az IUCN vörös listáján a veszélyeztetett kategóriába tartozik. A védelmi erőfeszítések sikeresen mentették meg a fajt a kihalástól a 2000-es években.

A highly protected, endemic Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) observes its surroundings from a log used as a scratching post in the wild. With a population of around 500, the animal is classified as endangered on the IUCN Red List. Conservation efforts successfully saved the species from extinction in the 2000s.
