A pygmy owl watches sternly from its hollow. The photographer waited for a long time near the hollow to capture the moment. He took the first shot with a telephoto lens when the owl looked out, then, by changing the lens and using in-camera multiple exposure, he captured the second image of the blue twilight with a long shutter speed.
