Egy élénkvörös színű lágykorall emelkedik ki a zátony felszínéről egy víz alatti barlang nyílása előtt. Rugalmas testével és polipjai szűrögető táplálkozásával jól alkalmazkodik az áramlásos, tápanyagban gazdag zátonyi környezethez. A háttérben az angyalhal és a további lágykorallok kontúrjai a barlangperemi, átmeneti zónák összetettségét mutatják, melyek számos fajnak nyújtanak menedéket.

A vibrant red soft coral emerges from the reef face before the mouth of an underwater cave. With its flexible form and filter-feeding polyps, it is finely adapted to the nutrient-rich currents of the reef environment. In the background, the silhouettes of an angelfish and further soft corals illustrate the complexity of these transitional cave-edge zones—a refuge for a rich array of species.
