Dunai promenád - Danube Promenade
A lámpák fénye vonzza a rovarokat, ami nagy veszélyt jelent a dunavirágokra. A kérészek ugyanis a ragyogást követve kirepülnek a víz fölül, és röpke életük végével nem a folyóba, hanem a csillogó aszfaltra teszik le petéiket. Ez a dunai „tündérek” rajzását megörökítő felvétel – a szentendrei korzó fényeivel a háttérben – egyszerre hívja fel a figyelmet a víz tisztaságának fontosságára és a fényszennyezés problematikájára.
Artificial lights attract insects, posing a grave danger to Danube mayflies. Drawn to the glow, these insects fly away from the water and, at the end of their fleeting lives, lay their eggs on the shimmering asphalt rather than in the river. Capturing the swarming of these Danubian "fairies"—with the lights of the Szentendre promenade in the background—this photograph highlights both the vital importance of water cleanliness and the threat of light pollution.
