A kép készítésekor éppen a kedvenc madaramat, a fekete gólyát fotóztam. Az állóvízben kisvártatva feltűnt egy mocsári teknős. Láthatóan egyik fél sem zavartatta magát, mindketten tették a dolgukat. Kettejükről több fotót is készítettem. Közülük az egyik itt látható, amint a teknős a gólyát méregeti a lábai előtt. Hazánkban, mint minden kétélű és hüllő, a mocsári teknős is védett.

In taking this photograph, I was in the process of shooting my favorite bird, the black stork. After a short interlude, a pond turtle appeared in the still water. It was clear that neither party was perturbed, they both carried on with their own tasks. I took several photos of them. One can be seen here, as the turtle assesses the stork in front of its legs. In our homeland, as every other reptile and amphibian, the pond turtle is also a protected species.
