Téli hibernációjából ébredt tavi béka a bölömbika csőrében végezte egy 56 napos fotós maratonom utolsó előtti napján. A nádasok rejtőzködő madara ritkán kerül szem elé, annál könnyebb meghallani tavasszal jellegzetes, messzire hallatszó hangját, ami egy üveg nyakába fújt búgó levegőéhez hasonló. Rejtő színeiben bízva, nyakát az égnek emelve a nádasba olvadva, van, amikor méterekre is bevárja az embert.

The day before the end of my 56-day photo marathon, a frog coming out of its winter hibernation ended up in the beak of a bittern. The bird, which hides among reeds, is seldom seen but its characteristic far-reaching cry at springtime is all the more easily heard, it resembles the sound of blowing air into the neck of a bottle. Relying on its camouflage colors blending into the reeds, its neck raised to the sky, at times in can wait out a person several meters away.
