A tengerparti sziklákon fészkelő fehér gólyákat Portugália nyugati partjainál fotóztam tavaly tavasszal. A késő délutáni időszakban olyan viharos szél fújt, hogy lesúlyozott állványról sem lehetett rázkódásmentes képeket készíteni. Végül a szél csendesültével az esti kék óra utolsó fényeit próbáltam kihasználni, hogy egy hosszú záridős felvételen a fészekre visszatérő gólyákat és közvetlen környezetüket, a hevesen hullámzó óceánt is megmutassam.

I photographed the white storks nesting on the cliffs by the sea on the western shore of Portugal last spring. There was such a high gusty wind in late afternoon that it was impossible to photograph without jiggling even with a weighted down stand. Finally, the wind calming down, I tried to make use of the last light in the evening’s blue hours such that with a long exposure shot I could show both the storks returning to their nests and their immediate environment, the turbulent surging ocean.
