Öreg rétisas portréja a Hortobágyról. A felvétel idén februárban készült egy esős-havas, szürke napon. A sasok már sötétben elkezdtek gyülekezni a les körül, később pedig még soha nem tapasztalt egyedszámban leptek meg minket. Az egyszerre a fényképezőgépeink előtt civakodó 26 rétisas mellett pár percre egy fiatal parlagi sas is a vendégünk volt. Érdekesség, hogy finn és lengyel gyűrűs madarakat is sikerült megfigyelnünk.

Portrait of an old white-tailed eagle from the Hortobágy. The photograph was taken in February this year on a gray snowy, rainy day. The eagles started to gather at dark around the hide, and later surprised us en masse in unprecedented numbers. In addition to the 26 bickering white-tailed eagles in front of our cameras for a few minutes a young Eastern imperial eagle was also our guest. It is of interesting note that we were also able to observe Finnish and Polish ringed birds.
