A hideg téli időjárás áttetsző felhőréteget von a települések fölé. A Galya-tetőn éjszakázva szerencsémre a ködpaplan fölött maradhattam. A három és fél órán át tartó felvételen, amit pontosan észak felé tájoltam, megjelentek az égbolt színes csillagívei a települések átderengő fényeivel. A látóhatáron felsejlett a Magas-Tátra hegyvonulata, a tiszta égbolton a felvételsorozat alatt a sárgás fényű, Almach nevű cirkumpoláris csillag haladt el a horizont közelében. Rendkívül stabil, szélálló állványról, azonos irányban készült a megszakítatlan felvételsorozat, automata expozícióvezérlővel.

Cold winter weather draws a translucent layer of clouds over the settlements. It was my good fortune spending the night at Galyatető that I stayed above the fog cover. In the photograph, which took over three and a half hours, pointed exactly due north, the colorful arcs of stars appear along with the lights filtering through from the settlements. The High-Tátra mountain range is insinuated at the horizon, on the bottom of the series the yellow light of the circumpolar star Almach passed near the horizon. The uninterrupted photograph series was taken in the same direction with automatic exposure control on an exceptionally stable wind-resistant stand.
