2021 januárjának első heteiben Döröskén a hőmérséklet végig 0 C° alatt stagnált, ezért a víz, a parthoz közeli részein jéggé változott.
Ezt használták ki a tavon telelő kacsák és récék is, szinte egész nap a jég peremén voltak.
Az éjszaka leesett hó és a jeges tó érdekes hatást adott a képhez. A kép előterében a tóparton lévő havas erdő tükröződik a vízen, a háttérben pedig a jégperemen megmaradt hó látható. A középpontban egy tőkésréce pár töri meg a téli táj egyensúlyát, ennek ellenére azonban mégis általuk nyer értelmet a kép.

In the first weeks of January 2021, the temperature in Döröske stagnated below 0°C throughout the whole period, turning the water near the coast into ice.
The ducks and ducklings wintering on the lake took advantage of this, spending most of the day on the ice's edge.
The snow that fell at night and the icy lake added an interesting effect to the picture. In the foreground, the snowy forest on the lake shore is reflected in the water, while the snow remains on the ice edge in the background. In the center, a pair of mallards break the balance of the winter landscape, but they still give the image meaning.
