After a summer of drought, water levels reappeared in the Southern Great Plain's dry, intermittent water bodies at the end of August 2022. The rapid formation of algae and the exciting structures and colors of the embayments make for a unique spectacle. The picture is completed by the black-winged stilt (Himantopus himantopus) walking in the shallow water as the birds have returned with the water, expressing the symbiosis of habitats and birds.
