2017 januárjában volt pár fagyos, hóborította napunk, ami remek lehetőséget biztosított a madarak fotózására. Barátaimmal már ősz óta etettük a ragadozó madarakat, ezért szép számmal jártak a les elé. A területen több alkalommal is felbukkant a héja (Accipiter gentilis), de lencsevégre kapni csak ritkán lehetett. Alkonyatkor érkezett, beült egy szemközti fára, és onnan szemlélte az egerészölyvek lakmározását. Ujjamat az exponálógombon tartva hosszú percekig figyeltem, hogy vajon mikor rúgja el magát a faágról. A héja rendkívül gyors madár, mindössze három képkockát sikerült készítenek, amelyek közül ez az egy lett éles.

In the winter of 2017 we had a few freezing snow-covered days, which provided excellent opportunity to photograph birds. Some friends and I had been feeding birds of prey since autumn, so we had a good number of them in front of the hiding place. The goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) appeared in the area a few times but we could only snap it rarely. She arrived at twilight, perched on the tree opposite, and watched the convivial repast of the buzzards. Keeping my finger on the shutter-release button I watched her for long minutes, waiting for the moment she kicked off from the tree. Goshawk is an exceptionally fast bird, I could only take three pictures, and this is the only one in focus.
