Több évig figyeltem meg a tiszavirágzás jelenségét. Hosszú várakozás, megannyi szúnyogcsípés, és sok-sok kattintás kellett ahhoz, hogy a másodperc négyezred része alatt kimerevítsem a halál előtti pillanatot. A képen egy vadászó pinty látható, amint egy kérészt próbál elkapni. A jelenség egy évben csak egyszer csodálható meg, így ha elmulasztottad, egy évet megint várnod kell. Lencsevégre kapni a jelenetet azért sem egyszerű, mert nem beetetéssel megrendezett a történés: a pinty bárhol lecsaphat, nem tudod kiszámítani. Még bízom benne, hogy talán még egyszer megfotózhatom ezt a csodálatos témát, de azt hiszem, ez a jelenet megismételhetetlen.

I have observed the mayfly phenomenon over the Tisza River for many years. After a long time waiting, and so many mosquito bites, and many, many necessary clicks so that I could fix on the moment before death in a quarter one-thousandth of a second. A chaffinch on the hunt is seen on the picture as it tries to catch a mayfly. This phenomenon can only be admired once a year, so that if you miss it, you have to wait another year. It is not easy to capture the scene on camera because it is not an orchestrated event, the chaffinch can strike anywhere, you can’t predict it. I still trust that I will be able to photograph this amazing subject perhaps once again, but I think this scene is not duplicable.
