A Bükk lábánál, télen, szakadó hóesésben sikerült elkapnom ezt a pillanatot a cinege és a muflon különleges kapcsolatáról, amit korábban még soha nem tapasztaltam. A muflon jó két percig tűrte, ahogy több széncinege is rárepül a hátára, de sajnos mindvégig tőlem elfordulva tette ezt. Csak pár másodperc volt az idő, amíg felém fordult, de ekkor már csak egy cinege ült a hátán. Sokat gondolkodtam ezen a nem mindennapi kapcsolaton, de csak feltevéseim vannak. Talán a hólepte tájban, a táplálékot nem találó cinege, a hóval lepte ágak helyett a kost használta beszállóágnak. Azt, hogy a muflonnak ebből mi haszna lehetett, elképzelésem sincs.

During a winter blizzard at the foot of the Bükk Mountains, I was able to capture the moment in a chickadee and the mouflon’s unusual relationship that I had never seen before. The mouflon tolerated for some two minutes while several chickadees flew onto its back, but alas, all while turned away from me. It only faced me for a few seconds but by this time only one chickadee sat on its back. I thought a long time about this out of the ordinary relationship but I only have conjectures. Perhaps in the snow-covered landscape, the chickadee finding no food used the ram for landing instead of the snow covered branches. As to what possible benefit the mouflon might have derived from this I have no idea.
