Sok éve figyelem a tiszavirágzást, a rajzás idején minden egyes nap leutazok a tőlünk 45 kilométerre fekvő folyóhoz. Megannyi szúnyogcsípés és még több várakozás után sikerült elkapnom, ahogy a ragadozó éppen elkap egy hím tiszavirágot. Életem eddigi legizgalmasabb pillanata volt ez! Nem megrendezett jelenet, nem beetetett hal, így aki már próbált hasonló természeti jelenséget lencsevégre kapni, tudja, hogy nem kis türelem és szerencse kell hozzá. A történés annyira gyors, hogy érzékszerveiddel már csak a csobbanást látod és hallod. Remélem, hogy a fotóm még jobban felhívja a figyelmet erre a csodálatos természeti jelenségre, a tiszavirágzásra, amit óvnunk és őriznünk kell az utókor számára.

I have watched mayflies for many years. When they are swarming I travel every day to the river 45 kilometers from us. After so many mosquito bites and even more time waiting I was able to capture the predator as it happened to catch a male mayfly. It was my life’s most exciting moment to date! It was not an orchestrated event, not a matter of fooling the fish. Anyone who has tried to catch with their lens a similar event in nature knows that it requires no small amount of patience, and luck. The incident is so quick that you only see and hear the splash with your sensory organs. I hope that my photograph calls attention even more to this amazing natural occurrence, the mayfly, which we must protect and guard for future generations.
