A Kőszeg melletti fenyvesben április elején tüzesfejű királykákat fotóztam. Az éneklő hím hamarosan vetélytársat kapott, így vitába keveredtek a revír-határok fölött. A lombkoronában kezdődött harc, s az út porába hullva folytatódott. Bár a teljes folyamatot végig fényképeztem, hazánk egyik legkisebb madara bámulatos gyorsaságával szinte mindig elhagyta az élesség tartományát. Néhány kép azért sikerült…

I was photographing common firecrests in the pine forest next to Kőszeg at the beginning of April. The singing male soon encountered a competitor such that they engaged in an argument over the nesting area. The battle began in the tree canopy and continued falling into the dust of the road. Although I photographed the entire episode, our country’s smallest bird always escaped the realm of sharp focus with its incredible swiftness. Nevertheless, a few pictures turned out successfully…
