Hím tövisszúró gébics figyeli a lószúnyog röptét. A faj egyedei sokszor egy bokron fészkelnek a karvalyposzátákkal, s míg az előbbit inkább hang alapján lehet megtalálni, a gébicsek már messziről elárulják jelenlétüket, mivel jól látható ágakra kiülve keresik táplálékukat. A poszáta dalra várva így gébics fotózással múlattam az időt.

A male red-backed shrike (Lanius collurio) watches the flight of a crane fly. Specimens of the species often nest in the same bush as the barred warbler, and while the former is more likely to be found by sound, the shrikes give their presence away from a distance by perching on visible branches in search of food. So, while waiting for the song of the warbler, I passed the time by photographing shrikes.
