Egy szárcsa szülő élőhallal eteti fiókáit a szegedi Búvár-tónál. A szárcsák étrendjének legnagyobb részét növényi eredetű táplálék teszi ki, ezt egészítik ki apró halakkal, gerinctelenekkel, ebihalakkal. Több mint tíz éve fotózok rendszeresen ennél a tónál, amiben elég sok hal van a tiltott horgászat miatt, mégis a kép készítésekor láttam először, hogy a szülő élőhallal eteti fiókáit.

A common coot (Fulica atra) parent feeds its chicks with live fish at Lake Búvár in Szeged. Most of the diet of coots is plant-based, supplemented with small fish, invertebrates, and tadpoles. I have been photographing regularly at this lake for more than ten years, which has a lot of fish due to the fishing ban, but it was the first time I saw a parent feeding its young with live fish.
