Annak, hogy ez a kép megszülethetett, csak nagyon-nagyon sok nulla után következő szám tudná kifejezni az esélyét. Többször fényképeztem a szabadszemmel is látható NEOWISE üstököst 2020 júliusában. A házassági évfordulónk napján pedig megkértem a feleségem, hogy tartson velem, készítek egy képet magunkról az üstökössel együtt. Így hát az exponáláshoz rádiós távkioldót használtam, mivel az enyhe teleobjektívvel (90 mm) szerelt gépvázat a nyitott rekesz miatt több mint 100 méteres távolságra kellett elhelyeznem magunktól ahhoz, hogy minden éles legyen a felvételen. Az expozíciós időt 3,2 másodpercre állítottam és éppen a gomb lenyomása utáni pillanatban egy szép meteor húzott el az üstökös mellett. Utólag láttam meg, hogy a sötétben kissé rosszul állítottam be a képkivágást a keresőben, ami végül szintén nagy szerencse volt, hiszen így jutott hely a váratlanul felbukkanó meteornak. Rögtön tudtam, hogy sikerült egy megismételhetetlen képet készítenem. Igazi égből érkezett ajándék volt ez nekünk.

Only many zeros after the following number could express the chances that this picture could be born. I took several photographs of the comet NEOWISE, visible to the naked eye, in July 2020. And on our wedding anniversary day, I asked my wife to come with me; I'll take a picture of us with the comet. So I used a radio remote trigger for the exposure, as the camera frame with the light telephoto lens (90 mm) had to be placed more than 100 meters away from us because of the open aperture so that everything would be sharp in the shot. I set the exposure time to 3.2 seconds, and just after pressing the button, a beautiful meteor passed by the comet. In hindsight, I realized that I had set the viewfinder's cropping slightly wrong in the dark, which was also a stroke of luck in the end, as it made room for the unexpected meteor. I knew immediately that I had taken an unrepeatable image. It was a natural gift from heaven for us.
